Pilot Freight Services Receives Ryder Carrier Quality Award

GLEN MILLS, PA – July 8, 2019 – Pilot Freight Services (Pilot), a worldwide provider of transportation and logistics services is the proud recipient of the Ryder Carrier Quality Award for the International Maritime Commerce category. The award recognizes 14 U.S. and Canadian carriers for service quality and operational excellence based on a variety of metrics, including on-time performance, claims handling, customer service, technology applications, economic value, and innovation. Pilot has been honored by Ryder with 17 previous awards and is the only carrier selected in three separate categories. The 2019 award is the first time Pilot has been chosen for international maritime commerce.

Technicolor, a long-term customer based in Memphis, recently named Pilot its 2018 Logistics Provider of the Year. Pilot’s Ray Skinner (MEM), Debbie Hughes (MEM) and Ben Pohopek (corporate) were on hand at the company’s Global Carrier Summit to accept the award. A 3PL for major motion picture studios, Technicolor mainly utilizes Pilot to handle time-specific deliveries of DVD displays to big-box retailers, and Pilot played a major role in Technicolor’s critical fourth quarter deliveries. Staff within Technicolor’s supply chain voted to award Pilot the Logistics Provider of the Year based on the following criteria: on-time service; communication and proactive tracking; billing accuracy; and proof of delivery.

Wondering where to head on your first day at Pilot’s new headquarters? Take a look at this seating chart to locate your new space. Make note of your corresponding workstation number as it must go on all labels. If an item isn’t labeled, it won’t be moved!

Packing instructions and labeling instructions are also online. Please keep in mind that the yellow totes will be stacked when moved, so each tote lid must close completely. Packing Essentials for Move Success!

The move schedule to Braxton Way is set. Beginning Friday evening June 7, and continuing over the course of three consecutive weekends, corporate office and Rose Tree employees will be relocated to the new HQ. The entire corporate-based team will operate from Braxton Way, effective Monday, June 24. Here are a few details about the packing process to make the move as smooth as possible.

Yellow Totes

Each employee will receive a yellow tote to hold personal items and files and a plastic bag for computer peripherals going to Braxton. Employees moving to an office at the new HQ will receive two totes and a bag. Additional totes will be available upon request for team supplies. The totes and bags will be delivered on Monday, June 3, to employees moving during Phase I, while Phase II and Phase III employees will receive their totes and bags on the Tuesday prior to their move. The tote is appropriately sized for the contents that will fit in the new workstations and offices.

Labels

In addition to the tote, employees will also receive a set of color-coded labels. The color corresponds to individual departments. Please review the specific labeling instructions as well as packing instructions so that our movers can be as expeditious and accurate as possible.
