Lima, Pa.—June 5, 2014—Pilot Freight Services, a worldwide provider of transportation and logistics services, announced today that it has received a 2013 Ryder Carrier Quality Award in the domestic freight forwarder service category. This award, which Pilot has received for the past 12 years, allows Ryder to proactively measure transportation provider performance, in order to honor those carriers that promote growth and can best deliver superior service and value to their clients.
“Being there for our customers on a daily basis and providing them with unmatchable service is what we thrive on. Receiving this award year after year is important to us, because of what it represents,” said Richard Phillips, chief executive officer of Pilot Freight Services. “The entire Pilot team continues to exceed expectations, whether it’s with our smallest shipment or our largest customer. It’s because of their dedication that we continue to be recognized by the Ryder community, and I couldn’t be more proud.”
The Ryder awards recognize excellence through a variety of metrics, including on-time performance, claims handling, customer service, technology applications, economic value and innovation. The awards will be presented at a reception on June 5th and announced in the June issue of the Journal of Commerce.
