Lima, Pa.—August 20, 2010—Pilot Freight Services, a worldwide provider of transportation and logistics services, announced that the company has been awarded its 21st Quest for Quality ™ Award from Logistics Management magazine. Pilot received awards in the Third Party Logistics and Freight Forwarders categories, ranking the highest for both value and customer service in the latter category.
“Receiving the Quest for Quality Award is extremely important to us, because we see it as a sign that we’re continuing to make our customers happy,” said Richard Phillips Jr., CEO of Pilot Freight Services. “To have been ranked highest in value and customer service, two of the most important categories, speaks to the hard work and dedication of our team across the country and around the globe.”
The Quest for Quality Awards, long regarded as an important measure of customer satisfaction in the industry, recognize overall service excellence in five areas: on-time performance, value, information technology, customer service, and equipment and operations. The awards are determined by votes from readers of Logistics Management, with more than 5,400 ballots cast this year. Awards will be presented at a reception on September 27th, in conjunction with the annual CSCMP Conference in San Diego.
