LIMA, Pa.—August 8, 2014—Pilot Freight Services, a worldwide provider of transportation and logistics services, announced that the company has received its 25th Quest for Quality ™ Award from Logistics Management magazine, ranking second in the Air Freight Forwarders category and first in overall value. For the past 31 years, the magazine has surveyed its readers—who consist of the industry’s most influential shippers—asking them to evaluate the providers they work with, in order to calculate the rankings.
“Quest for Quality is one of the most important awards programs in our industry, and being recognized means a lot to us because it’s the magazine’s readers—our customers—who determine the rankings,” said Richard Phillips Jr., CEO of Pilot Freight Services. “To be placed this high in the rankings is a clear demonstration that we are continuing to please our customers, thanks to the hard work and commitment of Pilot employees across the globe and their dedication to providing great customer service.”
The Quest for Quality Awards have been long regarded as an important measure of customer satisfaction in the industry. Logistics Management readers were asked to rate the companies they use in five categories: performance, value, information technology, customer services and equipment and operations. The awards, which have been determined by the reader ballots, will be presented at the Annual Quest for Quality Awards Dinner, to be held in San Antonio, Texas, in conjunction with this year’s Annual CSCMP Conference.
