Pilot Freight Services opens two new locations to expand services in Austin, Texas and Omaha, Nebraska

New sites offer full range of Pilot services including first, middle, and last mile via air, ground and ocean integrated with Maersk’s logistics and services.

 

Glen Mills, Pennsylvania press release – November 10, 2022Pilot – A Maersk Company announced two new facility openings on November 7, 2022 in Austin, Texas and Omaha, Nebraska to serve growing logistics demand.

The Austin facility will be based in Kyle, Texas supporting customers in the Austin and San Antonio markets.  Austin is the fastest growing city in the United States in 2022 while San Antonio is the sixth fastest growing.  Being able to connect both cities via the I-35 corridor through one centrally-located site enables faster service and future growth of these business centers. The new locations increase Pilot’s Texas coverage to six facilities all connected via a dedicated middle mile hub in Dallas.

Omaha is the center of the eight county Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area with a combined population of over 1.5 million people in the delivery range of the new facility.  This facility will be serviced daily from Pilot’s 58 other facilities through a dedicated middle mile network providing greater speed to market, better quality of care, and Pilot first and last mile uniformed and dedicated drivers.

Both facilities will offer the full range of Pilot services including first, middle, and last mile via air, ground and ocean integrated with Maersk’s logistics and services.
